Brownie?!? sure is not a diet food yet it’s always worth to indulge yourself to it in any way you wanted. It is beautiful to serve it with a whipped cream on top or to make it more a non-diet snack, ice cream of any flavor of your choice would be great. Brownie maybe like a fluffy cake, crumbly or heavy and moist in texture. There are also millions of ways on how to decorate it to make it more appetizing on our eyes and cause you not to resist no matter how much calories it will bring you. Indulging is fine, you just need to have control and know your limit. Anyhow, here is the version of my Chewy Fudge Decadent Brownie. I cut down the amount of sugar I put in here and took advantage of the chocolate as one of the main secret ingredients not to sacrifice its exact sweetness moreover added richness to the outcome of the brownie.

INGREDIENTS:Yield: 16

  • 3 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened Dutch cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup water
DIRECTIONS:

1. Improvise a taller pan by forming a sheet of foil a box higher than the original pan.

2. As you preheat the oven, but also the butter and the chocolate chips in it to slightly melt them.

3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and the sugar then gradually beat in the eggs then add the vanilla and the dissolved instant coffee into it.

4. Blend in the melted chocolate and lastly sift in the remaining dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, and salt).

5. You may add more chocolate chips into the batter for the additional texture on the finished product and to make it extra chocolaty.

6. Pour the batter into your improvised pan then bake it for about 30 to 45 minutes at medium heat. Note: you may want to keep an eye on it to monitor how is the texture of the brownie would be like.

7.After baking, test its”doneness” right according to your desired outcome by inserting a toothpick into the brownie and if you’ve seen tiny little moist crumbs on the toothpick as you pull it out when you are ready to cool it down to the same pan where it’s baked and transfer it to a cooling rack to completely cool it down.

8. Cut it in any size you wish. I divided mine into 16 perfect squares and stored them in a clean and airtight container.
